Edward Gama remodeled our modern home in the Mission-Dolores neighborhood of San Francisco. We purchased a live-work, 4-bedroom house right after the pandemic, drawn to its unique architectural features — the original build-out had even been featured in Dwell magazine. Our goal was to transform it into a home that was modern yet warm, and practical for family life. We chose Eddie because he immediately understood our vision and shared our aesthetic sensibility, bringing strong, well-considered ideas for how to successfully convert the space into a family home. He delivered on every front: our vision, our style, and a beautiful, modern, yet highly livable home. Eddie spent significant time onsite, consistently monitoring quality and solving problems as they arose. His recommendations for finishes and materials struck an excellent balance between style, practicality, and budget. The result is truly our dream home.

Eddie is a pro-active contractor and solved problems before they became problems. He is also fun to work with and has a fantastic design sensibility. We hired Eddie to repair a major leak caused by poor construction from a previous contractor. It was a complicated project that required him to work closely with our architect and waterproofing contractor, and Eddie was able to pull everything together while staying calm and focused throughout. Unlike other contractors we've worked with, Eddie showed up every day, thought through the details meticulously, planned ahead, and communicated clearly. He was transparent about billing, and the craftsmen working with him were excellent, clean, and thoughtful. We honestly don't think we would have survived the project without him. I also greatly appreciated Eddie's aesthetic insight — the house is now waterproof and actually looks better than it did before because of his recommendations.
