A general contractor with a deep respect for design.

Founded in 2005 by Edward Gama, GamaBuilt specializes in high-end residential construction throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, including whole-house renovations of Victorian, Edwardian, and mid-century homes, as well as ground-up modern construction.

One project manager leads the work from schematic design through the final punch list, coordinating the architect, consultants, and trades so the homeowner has one clear point of contact throughout construction.

Services

Four ways we bring design and construction together.

All Services
01

Design-Build

A fully integrated approach that brings design, planning, budgeting, and construction together from the start. GamaBuilt leads the process through one coordinated team, helping clients move from an initial idea to a finished home with greater clarity and continuity.

02

New Construction

Ground-up residential construction throughout San Francisco and Marin, including hillside sites, complex foundations, and highly detailed contemporary homes. Each project is shaped by its architecture, its site, and the way the client wants to live.

03

Renovation

Whole-house and major renovations of Victorian, Edwardian, mid-century, and contemporary homes. GamaBuilt manages the structural work, building systems, millwork, and finishes while preserving the design intent and attending closely to every detail.

04

Owner's Representation & Project Management

GamaBuilt represents the homeowner throughout the design and construction process, working alongside the architect, builder, and consultants to keep the project aligned with the client's goals. We help evaluate decisions, track budget and schedule, resolve issues, and provide an experienced point of view from early design through final completion.

Why GamaBuilt

Good construction and good design are inseparable.

For Eddie, building a beautiful home means more than executing a set of drawings. It means understanding the architectural vision, respecting the details, and bringing the same level of care to the things people may never notice as to the things they will.

That perspective shapes the way GamaBuilt works. Eddie stays closely involved from design development through construction, working alongside homeowners, architects, designers, consultants, and trades to carry the intent of the design through to the finished home.

His attention often goes to the small decisions that make a space feel resolved — the way materials meet, how proportions are handled, and how cabinetry, lighting, hardware, and architectural elements relate to one another. Individually, these details may be subtle. Together, they are what make a home feel considered as a whole.

Eddie immediately understood our vision and shared our aesthetic sensibility… He delivered on every front: our vision, our style, and a beautiful, modern, yet highly livable home. The result is truly our dream home — we can't recommend him enough.

Irene Voisin

I was extremely impressed with the construction quality and attention to detail… no detail was seemingly left unattended to. I can't recommend Gama Construction highly enough, and would seek no other option if designing a new home in the future.

Eddie is a pro-active contractor and solved problems before they became problems. As people visit my house, almost all of them comment on how perfect and beautiful it is. He is a true custom home builder.

Jon Taylor
Client · San Francisco

We love our house in San Francisco that Eddie designed and built. Eddie's attention to detail is exceptional and we found ourselves noticing and appreciating little touches months after we moved in… I have no hesitation in recommending Eddie to anyone looking for a design-forward build, who appreciates a high level of fit and finish and obsessive attention to detail.
